New Adventure

I will soon be embarking on a new adventure. Just last week, I accepted a job as an Assistant Manager for Walgreens. This is both exciting and scary at the same time. I am very much ready for a new job. I have been in the part-time job sector for too long and it is time for a change. Also, this means some real money will finally be coming my way. It will be sad to leave my current job since I get to meet so many people and I have come to know so many of these people over the past few years.

Grad School Here I Come!!

As of today, I was informed that I have been officially accepted into grad school. I will be furthering my education by pursuing my Master of Business Administration. This program will take me 2 years and I will start taking my first official class next Thursday, June 26th. I have decided to continue my education immediately following my Bachelor's degree since I'm not married and I don't have any kids yet. Right now is the best time for me to get the bulk of it under my belt before I start my family. I am quite excited even though this means 2 more years of school for me. I just hope that I won't get burnt out and that I will be able to keep momentum over the next 2 years to complete the final part of my education. Wish me luck!!

Vacation and bad blogging

I know, I know.....I have been a terrible blogger. The last couple weeks have been quite hectic. I had several job interviews while still working my usual work schedule. The I started packing for my family to go on vacation. All last week, my family took a cruise for 5 days. It was perfect timing because I was in great need of a getaway. There were 12 of us all together that went, so it was quite interesting getting everyone through the airport and from place to place, especially with 3 children in the group. Needless to say, we had a great time.

We left from Miami.

Our next day was a "fun day at sea".

Wednesday we stopped in Grand Turk in Turks and Caicos. I didn't take any pictures here because it was really raining quite a bit, so I didn't take my new camera off the ship. All we did at Grand Turk was hit the shops.

Thursday we stopped at Half Moon Cay. This is Carnival Cruise Lines private island. They have staff that live there and maintain the island. This was the most beautiful beach I have ever seen in my life. The water was so clear and the entire place was so clean. We were at the beach the whole day we were at Half Moon Cay.

Friday was our day in Nassau, Bahamas. We did a little shopping at Del Sol and the straw market. It was an interesting experience. This was the stop that we did an excursion. We decided to all take a ferry tour over to the Atlantis resort and have a guided tour through their aquarium.

We loved our waiters. Not only the kids, but others of us got up and danced with the waiters as well. It was really fun!!

Lastly, for those of you that have been on a cruise before, you know that you gotta love the towel animals on your bed!!

So today I had my first official "professional" interview at TBG Inc. I was quite excited because I was starting to get worried that I might not EVER get an interview. This first interview was just a first impression interview. The real meat of the interview comes on the second interview. I received a call a little bit ago asking me back for a second interview. I am very excited. I just hope that this is truly a job I want to do and that it doesn't fall through in the end. Wish me luck!!

Lost Monday

Today I started catching up on the past seasons of the television show Lost. I have never had the time to watch this show on a regular basis due to my ever-changing schedule with going to college and working evenings. Clearly I am WAY behind seeing as the 4th season is coming to a close. Luckily, my step-mom owns the firsts 3 seasons. So now my sister and I are working like mad women to finish these 3 seasons plus the 4th season that is just now ending before the fall when the 5th season starts.

I will say that I have watched 4 episodes so far and I think I am hooked!!

Free Chicken Biscuit/Sandwich at McDonald's

Tomorrow, May 15th, McDonald's is giving away free Southern style chicken biscuits and sandwiches. You must purchase a medium or large drink to get the sandwich free though.

The chicken biscuit will be available between the hours of 7:00 am and 10:30 am. Then, from 10:30 am to 7:00 pm, McDonald's will be giving away the chicken sandwich. Don't forget to purchase the drink to go with it so you don't have to pay for the sandwich. This is still a great deal even though there is a purchase involved!

Wedgie-free Wednesday

Hanes is having Wedgie-free Wednesdays!

Every Wednesday, you can enter to win a free pair of Hanes underwear. Each Wednesday, they give out 500 pairs of free underwear. Sign up here!

I have not won yet, but Wendy at More Than Enough did and she said they won't notify you if you win. They will just mail the underwear to you. What a great surprise!!
